Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau Announces New Online Music Venture (May 2, 2007) Memphis, TN - The Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau announced today a new partnership with online radio station All Memphis Music, www.AllMemphisMusic.com. The radio station will not only broadcast Memphis music, but also help spread the word about Memphis as a premier tourist and convention destination. “It’s a logical step for us,” MCVB President and CEO Kevin Kane said. “Memphis’ reputation for world class music is known around the world. Allowing people to experience that music online only furthers our mission and reinforces the Memphis brand, Home of the Blues, Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll.” The station will also be used by the Memphis CVB to heavily promote area attractions and events such as “Memphis Celebrates 50 Years of Soul” celebration and “Memphis In May.” All Memphis Music co-founder, Jon Scott added, “Since going on air in August of ’06, the station entertains listeners in all 50 states and more than 60 countries. We’re one of the only stations of its kind that dedicates its entire play list to the great Memphis sound.” Both former executives with MCA Records, among other labels, Scott and co-founder David Fleischman combine for over 40 years of music industry experience.
